those who know me well will come to the easy conclusion that two of the many things i feel passionate about are the outdoors and gadgets. for my next job, i get to combine both: i am to write a review of suunto's newest product: the core. i received the watch on loan from time depot yesterday, and i'm bringing it to a southeast asian tour, up mt. kinabalu, and around parts of singapore and KL. of course, i was only supposed to climb any generic mountain and see if its outdoor functions deliver under real-world conditions, but i think it's a treat for suunto that i just happen to be going to kota kinabalu. the choice of mountain will certainly lend some credibility to the review, although i hope to be able to use it for more than just one week.
the watch sits handsomely on my wrist now. it looks pretty oversized, but it blends perfectly with my personality. i've been loaned the suunto core light green, pictured above (there are 6 different models in the core series), although i wouldn't complain either if they had me use the suunto core black yellow. the worst thing about this assignment is that i'd have to return the watch after i'm done with it. it doesn't even have to grow on me, because i like it already!
